“Master Li” to Lead Qigong Training at Eastover

master liLi Junfeng will lead Healing of the Heart Sheng Zhen Qigong Training August 31 to September 5 at Eastover, a 600-acre sanctuary and residential retreat center in the Berkshires.

Often referred to as “the qigong of unconditional love,” Sheng Zhen Gong is a method of self-healing that involves a series of moving and non-moving forms, all designed to remove negative energy, or “qi,” and gather positive, healing energy. “The movements and contemplations of Sheng Zhen Gong help recreate that deep sense of inner peace we experienced as small children,” Li says. “As the body softens and negative emotions are released, you experience a feeling of perfect harmony with the universe.”

Sheng Zhen Gong has three functions: to strengthen the body, calm the mind and open the heart, he says. “With regular practice, you experience a renewed sense of joy and purpose, a deeper understanding of life and more compassion for yourself and others.”

Li bases his practice in Santa Barbara, California, but conducts workshops and teacher trainings in various countries, including Canada, the United States, France, Norway, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Latvia, Israel, Australia, Japan and the Philippines.

“Master Li is one of the living qigong masters of our time and the driving force behind bringing Sheng Zhen Gong into the world. His life is a testament to the value of practicing this system of qigong,” says Eastover’s founder, Yingxing Wang. “His goal is a world suffused with unconditional love, in which every person truly loves their neighbor as if they were family. He believes that the practice of Sheng Zhen Gong is the key to achieving this vision.”

Eastover is located in Lenox, Massachusetts, minutes from Tanglewood Music Center and Kriplau Yoga Center. It hosts organized retreats as well as individual visitors. For more information about this or other events, visit Eastover.com.

At Eastover, Master Li shared his beautiful form of Qi Gong. His mere presence radiated love and compassion as he explained how all of us here on Earth make up a single organism, and how by empowering our own unconditional love, emanating from our “big heart” center, we can heal the world, cease with rampant environment destruction, and heal ourselves -body, mind, and soul.
