Natural Awakenings New York City

Retreat To Mexico In February

As the days grow shorter and the night grow longer, we can find it a bit tricky to navigate the darks days of winter and keep our energy levels high. Seasoned yoga teachers and kirtan singers Deva Vidya and Sharon Silverstein are leading a Heart Centered Retreat to Yelapa, Mexico, designed to help participants move gracefully through winter, accessing the light within as they embrace the light without.

This retreat offers daily yoga and meditation, live music, hikes to waterfalls, and experiential activities intended to raise participants’ vibrations—all in a setting that is beautiful, quiet and safe. Participants will stay in private villas steps away from Yelapa’s pristine beaches and tropical jungles, so they can see whales and dolphins swimming and parrots flying overhead. “We will lead you on a magical journey of breath, movement and music, accessing peace within,” Vidya says. “So call in the light, embrace life to the fullest and make this the very best winter yet.”

The retreat is scheduled for February 21 to 27. The $1,333 cost includes six nights of double-occupancy lodging, meals, guided hikes to waterfalls, daily yoga, meditation, experiential activities and live music. Or opt for just lodging and meals for $1,111.
