Jenny Lu Teaches Qigong Classes at Syosset Library

Jenny Lu, founder, and owner of Jenny Lu Yoga, will be teaching a new 10-week session of qigong classes at the Syosset Library beginning next month. Classes will be on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon, from December 2 to February 17. They are suitable for all levels.

Qigong is an ancient Asian healing mind-body practice that can boost balance, strength, and immune function.

“This is one of the healing practices that can help people to improve their physical, emotional, and mental health, which is so vital to leading longer and healthier lives,” Lu says. “My qigong classes include gentle stretching, guided breathing, energy meditation, and mindful movements. Participants will learn postures and techniques that can help them to release physical tension and emotional stress. They will feel more grounded after each class.”

In addition to teaching qigong, Lu teaches yoga, meditation, and tai chi classes, practices energy healing, and leads corporate wellness programs. She also offers private sessions.

She says that more than 16 years of training in various mind-body healing practices have left her healthier, stronger, and more confident, and centered. “I have benefited so much that my life’s mission is to share these healing practices so more people can feel healthier, happier, and more peaceful. When we feel better, we can uplift the people we come in contact with. That’s how we can help to brighten our family, our community, our country, and our world.”
