Rare Health Conditions No Match for Good Methodology
Since 2007, since he began helping people from Long Island (and occasionally from across the country) overcome their health issues, David Pollack, DC, estimates that 70 percent of those issues have been “the usual offenders,” like GERD, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, chronic migraines, and colitis. But he says he really loves helping people with less-common issues. “There have been so many,” he says. “And despite sometimes never having heard of some of these disorders before, we still generally improve if not eliminate the situation.”
Whatever those unusual conditions are called—sarcoidosis or scleroderma or chronic lymphocytic myositis—doesn’t really matter to Pollack. What’s important are the methodologies he uses at Pollack Wellness Institute.
“I’m not as concerned with the name of the disease as I am with the basic functions of the body,” he says. “I’m concerned with assessing how the body is working and coming up with a strategic plan to improve its function. All aspects of your health are important to the physical, chemical, and emotional health of your body. So let’s turn over every stone—not just look at what hurts, but the whole body and all its parts. You wouldn't believe how often the solution is actually on the complete other side of the body. Miracles can happen if you make them. We can't wait. Every day of our life is a blessing. And it can always be better, much better.”Location: 66 Commack Rd., #204, Commack, NY.
