Some 70 percent of participants surveyed for clinical trials of the Pranamat Eco, an acupressure massage set, reported that their back pain completely resolved after they used the set for 30 days. Other notable results were relaxation of the back muscles (97 percent); decrease or total absence of headaches (80 percent); less tiredness and apathy (100 percent); better mood and energy (70 percent); greater resistance to stress (90 percent); and improved sleep quality (95 percent). 

The clinical trials were conducted by a team of specialists from the Experimental Medicine Institute and the University Hospital at the University of Latvia, and reviewed by Dr. Dzintra Vavere, a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

The team also looked at how using the mat affects overall health and well-being. They found that it significantly increases the intensity of local microcirculation, increases local metabolic processes within the tissues in the area to which it is applied, reduces inflammation in joints and muscles, and increases the production of natural painkillers known as beta-endorphins.
