SkinnyPillow Hits Sleep Market with All-Natural Product
The SkinnyPillow company, which recently completed its first Kickstarter campaign, has entered the market with what it calls “a groundbreaking approach to sleep health.” Its soft kapok cotton pillow and breathable, organic cotton cover are handmade in the United States with no synthetics, chemicals or animal parts.
“We’re blowing the whistle on many brands of pillows for using toxic materials and animal parts in their manufacturing, and the people using them,” says Carlos Shiera, media relations specialist for SkinnyPillow. “With a focus on comfort and quality, our pillow is made from seed to sleep. If that sounds simple, well, we think that’s just the way it should be.”
The company will make its next public appearance at the Plant-Based World Expo in New York on July 7 and 8. (Read more about the event at PlantBasedWorldExpo.com.)
Its Kickstarter campaign attracted interest from healthcare professionals, fitness experts and media, as well as customers wanting a more natural lifestyle, Shiera says. “We cleared our $30,000 campaign goal in 15 days with more than $43,000 collected, and hundreds of early adopters have already submerged in the natural sleep experience.”
SkinnyPilllow also offers health and fitness tips from industry experts and promotes a balanced, wholesome lifestyle through its website and social media channels. Its focus on the “trinity of health”—fitness, diet and sleep—reflects its values as a customer-first company, Shiera says.
“We’re passionate about promoting healthier sleeping practices and will be actively pursuing business partnerships that will bring healthy and natural sleep to Americans across the nation,” he says.
