United Palace Hosts Conversation with Toltec Masters
The brothers will be sharing insights based on the traditions of the Toltec, who ruled central Mexico from the 10th through the 12th centuries and developed a secret society to preserve the knowledge of their ancestors, known as teachers of spirituality, science, and the arts.
Don José teaches and lectures around the world, translating ancient Toltec wisdom into practical life concepts that promote transformation through truth, love and common sense. He wrote a book The Fifth Agreement, along with his father, don Miguel Ruiz Sr. He also founded a band, Circle of Shadows, a collective of artists inspired by the dream of different voices coming together to share a common message of truth.
As a teen, don Miguel became an apprentice to his father and his grandmother, who were physical and spiritual healers; now he passes along the wisdom and tools of his family’s traditions. Along with his father and his brother, don Miguel leads workshops, retreats and power journeys to help others achieve personal freedom and optimal physical and spiritual health. He also hosts a weekly internet radio show, The Way of the Desert.
The Open Heart Conversation will begin with don José sharing wisdom from his teachers and ancestors in what he calls shamanic dreaming. Participants will discover the deeper meaning and value of ancient stories and how to apply this wisdom to everyday life. Then don Miguel will share lessons based on the Toltec tradition, designed to help people love without fear. Both brothers will have a book signing after the discussion.
