Louis Fellman, the engine behind Abraham’s, had 10 years’ experience in the natural food industry when he launched his Middle Eastern food product line in 1987. Word spread quickly about the taste and quality of his hummus, and soon Abraham’s Middle Eastern Foods expanded. “We’re passionate about creating healthy foods,” Fellman says. “Our hummus has the industry’s lowest calories, fat and sodium, without a drop of artificial preservatives. We use raw apple cider vinegar in every batch to get that wonderful zingy taste and for all the incredible health benefits.”

Unlike other companies, Abraham’s does not add any oils, such as canola or soy, to its hummus. “We only use healthy, nutritious tahini,” Fellman says. Abraham’s hummus comes in a variety of flavors, from traditional and salt-free to roasted red pepper, green olive and herbs, parsley and onion, and hot and spicy, among others.
