Qigong and “Sacred Sexuality” Meet at Eastover

Prana Gina Barrett, author of Lighter: LivingTantra, will lead a women’s-only workshop focusing on sexuality October 6 through 9 at Eastover Estate and Retreat, a 600-acre residential sanctuary in the heart of the Berkshires.

In Women’s Body Temple: Tantra Yoga, Qigong & Sacred Movement for Sexual Vitality, Barrett will explain how sexuality can be a powerful source of energy, self-discovery and creativity and how the life-force energy around us can help support reproductive health and nourish sexual vitality.

Participants will be taught tantra yoga, qigong, meditation and sacred movement; taoist/tantric sacred sexuality and breathing techniques; and communication skills for personal empowerment. Barrett says her programs are designed to help women “rebirth a sexual life that serves their purpose and highest potential.”

A special guest at the event will be Alisa Wright Tanny, an embodiment coach and dance movement therapist and the creator of BodyDance, “an innovative sensual embodiment program for feminine expressive empowerment.”

“On my personal tantric and shamanic-based path, I have found that taoism and qigong have been the answer to my health, sexuality and energy-balancing needs,” Barrett says. “I’ve been facilitating playful yet powerfully engaging workshops for 30 years, creating all the while a safe container for physical and emotional transformation.”

Barrett is also the founder and of PranaHeals and TantratoLove, a private practice and school offering workshops, sacred unions, ceremonies and retreats worldwide.

Eastover is located in Lenox, Massachusetts, minutes from Tanglewood Music Center and Kriplau Yoga Center. It hosts organized retreats as well as individual visitors. For more information about this or other events, visit Eastover.com.
