The Awaken Wellness Fair, the tri-state area’s oldest body-mind-spirit-green expo, will return to Tarrytown from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 24, at the DoubleTree Hotel at 455 South Broadway.

While the fair has grown from 42 attendees in 2002 to nearly 1,000 in recent years, its mission has remained the same, says founder Paula Caracappa, CEO of PPC Group LLC. “For 14 years, this wellness-focused, educational and experiential event has attracted well over 100 exhibitors to locations throughout the tri-state area,” she says. “Educating the public about the variety of wellness services and products that are available today is the one thing that remains constant.”

The fair will feature a continuous program of free, 45-minute educational presentations, including Mary Ellen O’Brien’s Align with Your Higher Self: A Channeled Guidance Session and Lois Kramer-Perez’s Four Keys to Become the Driver of Your Destiny. Vendors will offer products and services supporting a healthy lifestyle, such as essential oils, Ayurvedic medicine, nutritional supplements and organic cleaning products. Intuitive readers will also be on hand, Caracappa says. “This group offers insight through tarot readings, mediumship, angel readings, numerology, pet readings and many more, for entertainment purposes only. Then there are gifted healers practicing reiki, reflexology and energy healing,” she says.
