Eastgate Acupuncture is pleased to announce that Grandmaster Zhang Yuanming will be visiting their facility during the month of June. During this time Master Zhang will offer private Medical Qi Gong treatments to the public. Medical Qi Gong is an aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves manipulating Qi, or metabolic energy, without the use of needles. It uses the 12 primary meridians of the body, 8 extraordinary meridians and the 3 burners of Traditional Chinese Medicine while incorporating exercises unique to Taoism and Buddhism.

Medical Qi Gong treatments often involve the use of calligraphic talismans, hand mudras, and sounds. Master Zhang will be practicing in Manhattan two days a week over the course of June. This will allow clients the ability to have a course of treatments with Master Zhang and book up to 4 appointments with him. 

Master Zhang is the lineage holder for several different schools of Qi Gong and Martial Arts. He was chosen by Grandmaster Lu Zijian as a lineage successor in the Quanzhen Daoist Dragon Gate line, and he has published numerous articles in Kungfu Magazine and Qigong Journal. Master Zhang's center at Mt. Qingcheng in China was featured in the PBS program, Qigong - Ancient Chinese Healing for the 21st Century. He is a professor of Chinese Medicine and has been a Consultant to the United Nations Qigong Society.
